A few weeks ago, the folks at Olay asked if I'd like to try Olay Total Effects 7 in one tone correcting moisturizer with sunscreen and share my opinions with my readers. I've used other Olay products over the years (the In-Shower Body Lotion is one of my favorites), so I happily accepted their offer and they sent me a gift pack.
Teenage Daughter and I both had the same reaction when we opened the box -- How do they get the cream to do that neat double helix looking thing inside the bottle?! But none of us is going to buy a beauty product just because it looks cute in the packaging. I've been using it for about a week now, and I really like this stuff. I can see myself using it every day.
I don't wear makeup. Other than an occasional tube of lipstick or mascara which dries out before I use it more than a handful of times, I don't even own makeup. It's never been part of my routine. When I read about Olay Total Effects, it intrigued me. Moisturizer and sunscreen sounded like a good idea....and if it covered up some of the blotches, too?
I was definitely willing to give it a shot!
I've got a long history of weird skin problems and although I know that I could wear foundation and cover up all of the blotches and imperfections I have now, I don't. Honestly, after years of really truly awful skin, I don't lose any sleep about the wrinkles and uneven skin tone that I've these days. After years of bleezing ezcema, I'm happy to have the skin I've got. A long time ago, I decided not to borrow trouble by covering my skin with heavy makeup. And I don't like the feeling of stuff on my face.
The Olay tinted moisturizer goes on quickly with no "foundation lines" to worry about. After the first time I wore it, I haven't noticed that sensation that something was on my skin. It doesn't cover up every blotch and blemish, but it definitely makes my skin look better. And it seems like the bottle is going to last a long time. I expect to buy a replacement when it does run out.
The Olay Total Effects product, information, and gift pack have all been provided by Olay.

Studies show everyone should get out in the sun every day without sunscreen, or sunglasses or even regular glasses so the body can manufacture the Vitamin D it needs. Most people nowadays are short on Vitamin D because of so much time spent indoors...or completely slathered with sunscreen when they do go out.
I never wear makeup either... bad reactions when I was young. I might try this creme, I sure do need a moisturizer. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hugs
Does ir feel greasy or oily...I get really bad acne and have to use lots of meds from the dermatologist so I have to be caeful with moisturierizers and stuff. But If it isn"t oily I might could try it out...I like the more natural light type products.
