Look what I finished!
I've stitched projects that were a lot larger and had four times the colors, but that was years ago. I'm kind of proud of what I managed to do with a fifty-cent estate sale find. It's not my best work. What it is, is permission to get into those other cross-stitch kits I recently dug out of my sewing room or picked up dirt cheap at the thrift shop.
A couple of the large projects are calling to me, but I think I'll do another small one first. I'm still refining half-forgotten techniques and learning new tricks. And the little kit I've got in mind is really cute.
I did leave off a lot of back stitching and some French knots because I decided that the trees were find as-is and the rocks in the foreground didn't need flowers.

Oh that's so pretty - it must have been so much fun to stitch - and yay for it giving you permission to dive into the other kits :)
Oh this turned out so beautifully...nice work so pretty hugs, Julierose
What a wonderful find! It is really lovely -well done! I did a lot of cross-stitch before I discovered quilting - I still have a big box of patterns and supplies...so much to do, not enough hours in the day LOL!
Good for you! I’d be happy as a clam too. I enjoy counted cross stitch and have been doing and learning as I go. Am currently trying an Autumn Medley Needlepoint, should be done by autumn 2018, LOL!
Looks good! I just had some lucky thrift shop finds too. Enjoy your stitching time!
