Last Monday, I had one single block of my NewFO to show you. It didn't look like much of anything. Since then, I've been making more blocks -- almost a third of what I'll need for the quilt.
How's this?
I can't decide if I love it or not. I like it, but it's not quite the quilt I had in my head when I decided to make something like the brown Irish Chain, but really scrappy, and with different color placement.
I am having a lot of fun piecing the blocks, so I'll keep plugging away and figure out what to do with the finished quilt once it's done.
To see more projects, head over to Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times.

I love scrappy irish chains. I think it looks nice.
It's love at first sight!!!
Love it! Always amazes me how a quilt made entirely of squares can be so stunning.
I love it, Michelle. There's something very appealing to my eye about the Irish Chain.
I really like it, maybe once you do the border you will like it better. You can always give it as a Christmas present if you decide you don't like it.
Oh I like it! I think that it will grow on you and you might think of something to add to the border, or just the choice of border fabric that will pull it all together and ground it. I have recently been working on a really scrappy one that I wasn't in love with at first but now, after some moving around of the blocks and adding the border and some machine appliqué to the border I really love it!
I love it! :)
