It looks intriguing, but I can see this ending in bloodshed, at least at my house. And I can't quite figure out why it would be better to bake a loaf of bread in a glass tube.
I know one of you has to have one -- does it work? Should I have bought it?

I had one in the 1970's. It was a fun gimmick but I never though it worked as well as advertised. It was supposed to make a perfectly round loaf but mine were usual more oval and didn't completely fill the tube. Mine went to the thrift store a long time ago.
I have one. It worked great with fresh dough or frozen. I haven't used it in 20 years though. That's the problem with having lots of gadgets.
I've never seen one before, but I would have had to bring it home and try it. I love baking bread and have several different type pans to use. My thought was that it probably would't slide out that easily if I were using it. lol
I had the round tube and really liked it. I lived in New Orleans and baked French Bread in it, and it worked really well. Lost it in Katrina, and we don't eat bread any more so...
I also had the uncandle... LOL! We used to be really big on gimmicks.
