Death of a Schoolgirl left me wanting to read more about the characters. There were no loose ends or cliffhangers, but I want to spend more time in the character's world. I won't have long to wait -- the next book in the series is due out April 2.
And I can always read the original. I've got Jane Eyre loaded onto my Kindle Fire. Now the trick is prying it away from the boys long enough to do some reading. Sure, I could do it after they're in bed, but they rarely leave me with much of a battery charge.
A charge lasts for
hours, but after three people take turns watching videos about video game hacks and looking up Perler bead patterns, and shooting zombies, and watching videos about black holes on Khan Academy, and looking things up on Wikipedia... This house could use three more Kindle Fires.
I suppose I should just make a temporary trade and read the book on my oldest son's Kindle.

. I've read and enjoyed most of the Elm Creek ones, but this one disappointed me. There was very little about the Elm Creek Quilters and the stories of the Quiltsgiving guests felt very preachy. (Did Anna leave in one of the books I missed? She was my favorite new character and it seems like she vanished almost immediately!)
