What else was I going to do with them?

I made a few too many blocks for the Nancy Drew quilt, so...

And because that chain pattern seemed just a little too simple and I didn't have any book covers left...

To see more design walls, head over to Patchwork Times. I'm also linking to Applique Thursday at A Quilting Reader's Garden.  Mystery author Joanna Campbell Slan is giving away a mystery a day to my readers from Decemeber 7 through the 18th -- come back and enter each day for a chance to win.

I absolutely love mysteries now as an adult - but somehow the Nancy Drews never made it into my hands when I was growing up since I didn't read a lot of fiction as a youngster.

However, I can understand the emotional attachment to something from our youth - this looks like a wonderful ode to that memory. What fun!

I love simple nine patch quilts--so classic. I read Jane Eyre about six months ago. It was a little tough going because of the language they used back then, but it was worth it!

I like the quilt from 'left-overs' even better than the one with the 'book covers'!! Great idea. Very nice.

THANK YOU! I was unaware of the Nancy Drew fabric until I saw your post (via DWM). I am SO going to buy the fabric--but I've got to figure out how much of each colorway!

(I doubt that they'll ever make Trixie Belden fabric....but what would be really, really cool is fabric with all the Statemeyer Syndicate characters -- Hardy Boys, Cherry Ames, Vicki Barr, Chip Hilton, as well as Nancy.)
