We also stopped at St. Vincent's. They're now selling fabric labeled at fat quarters for ninety-nine cents. I'm so confused.... Five dollar a yard clearance fabric isn't hard to come by at the quilt shop. And yes, I realize that there's usually a one yard minimum, but still, I expect my thrift store fabric to be a lot less than four bucks a yard.
$1.39 a pound? That I can handle.
We found some other treasures, but I'm saving those for my vintage post on Thursday.

I've never gotten fabric at a thrift store, but when I buy men's shirts to use, I don't count them in my yards in. I also don't count scraps from friends. By my rules, you haven't added fabric!
ReplyDeleteLucky you, only one of our thrift stores sells fabric and you just have to be lucky. I love thrift stores so much fun and you had to go because it was your daughter's birthday. Wish her a HB.
ReplyDeleteGreat find at the thrift shop. The few times I remember to look for fabric I can never find any. Guess I should ask where they put it. Sounds like your daughter had a delightful birthday.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. I never think to check for fabric when I take stuff TO the Goodwill store. Maybe I should. But, I have pledged not to buy any more fabric unless it is absolutely needed to complete a project.!
