Good signs!

I saw a sign just like this one while we were out shopping last week and fell in love. I'm thoroughly convinced that we need it hanging in our house, but I'm not so sure I could convince Hubby. On the other hand....if I make my own version, it'll just appear on the wall.

(I found the same sign for sale online at Urban Barn)

But that's not the best sign I found when we were out and about. Take a look at this one!

I managed, barely, to avoid shrieking with joy when I saw it there in the mall.

When I first started reading the cross-stitching lists, it seemed like everyone was talking about Hobby Lobby. The closest one to us at that time was in Utah. Or Arizona.  This was back before we had GPS, so when we were on one of our vacations and Hubby found us a hotel with a Hobby Lobby right across the parking lot, I left him in the room and took the kids for a long walk. Since then, we've stopped in a couple different stores.

I never even thought to hope that they'd open one close to home. This one is going to be thirty miles from our house -- and in a direction that we head a couple of times a week. I don't know when they're scheduled to open, but I'm having fun playing in my stash. Maybe enough fun that by the time they do open, I'll be able to justify some shopping.

  2. Fun sign.

No Hobby Lobby? I don't know how you manage. It's my go to store for all school project stuff.

  4. Well aren't you lucky to have spotted that sign. It's gonna cost you in the long run though...Or your husband..lol..when you start shopping their all the time. The closest fabric stores I have is a Joanns or walmart or Hancock and thati san hour away. Our walmart doesn;t have any fabrics at all and hasn't since before I moved here 2 and a half years ago. Moma said they stopped selling fabrics about 5 years ago here. And the Joanns in the city just opened up in June...And I have been 3 times now...Love it but ....can;t go much due to being far away and usually when I go into the city it is to doctor appointments related to this cancer. And medical bills have top priority over fabric purchases these days. But I am thrilled to know when I need fabric I do have Joanns as a option now.

  5. Oh, I'd go crazy if there was a Hobby Lobby within a reasonable driving distance from home. I've only been to one in Kansas when visiting my brother and one in SD. I used to hit that one when I was working as a sales rep and it was on my route. I think there is only one in MN and it is waaay out of my shopping area--boo!
