I started this one last spring, not knowing quite what I wanted to do with it. What I did know what that I wanted to try a scrappier version of the brown Double Irish Chain I'd done a couple of years earlier. Beyond that, I wasn't sure how big I wanted to make it or what I was going to do with it when it's done.
Since then, I've decided that it's going to be a housewarming gift for a friend. She's moved twice since I made that decision, so I don't feel too badly about taking so long.
What causes quilts to become UFOs? In this case, I think I just lost my enthusiasm.
It's very pretty. I love scrappy quilts.
ReplyDeleteI had one just like that sitting around for a couple of years. Kind of glad it sat there, because in the meantime I accumulated a lot more variety of scraps to incorporate. I had enough to do a scrappy border as well. Yours will be a beauty when it's done.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Scrappy and one of my favorite patterns. I move from one project to another, I guess it's just more fun to start something new.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. It looks so fresh and bright with the white. It will make a really lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteMIne is sitting because I am not sure how I want the borders. Silly I know.
ReplyDeleteI tend to get bored and will start something else until inspiration strikes for the boring project. I don't have too many UFO's or WIP but the ones I do have are BIG projects. Now I just need my mojo back.
