Civil War Remembered

The gals from Country Threads have a new book out and it's got me drooling. Civil War Remembered: 19 Quilts Using Reproduction Fabrics by Mary Etherington and Connie Tesene is full of pretty little quilts. I've been a fan of their quilts for quite a while now, and I'm adding a bunch from this book to my "to stitch" list.

The Devil's Claw block has intrigued me ever since I saw it and heard that name.

The story behind these two little doll quilts both horrifies and fascinated me -- they're  called Scorched! for a reason.

It is an awesome book--I've already cut my fabrics for Devil's Claw. I can't believe they actually burned that little quilt--yikes!
