Flamingo Socks!

This pair is mine! That's why I took an awkward picture of my feet instead of asking Teenage Daughter to model. She's not getting the chance to claim this pair.

The yarn is Opal Flamingo and they're the same needles, same number of stitches, and same non-pattern as every other pair of socks I've knit lately. With yarn this pretty, I didn't think they needed fancy stitch patterns. And, honestly, I'm still in the mood for mindless knitting.

I just finished Purses and Poison, the second Haley Randolph mystery, and I'm counting the days until I can pick up the third book at the library next week. The heroine of this series is annoying. She's shallow, and not too bright, and her ethics are questionable. But by the end of the first book, she'd started to grow as a person, and by the end of the second book, she'd grown a bit more. I don't think I'd like her if she was a real person, but she's fun to read about.

Night of the Living Thread is the fourth Threadville mystery, but after reading a guest post that metioned glow in the dark thread, zombies, ancient Egyptian curses, and a wedding gown used as a murder weapon, I knew I wanted to jump in and read this one right away. I'm only about halfway through, but so far I'm enjoying it.

Love the socks, I am still trying to find the time to learn how to make my own.

I understand why you're saving this pair for yourself. Makes the ones I'm knitting seem downright dull! Great job!

linking from crazy mum quilts. You both have the same finishes and I cannot decide which one I prefer. Gorgeous

Love that Opal yarn! I agree you don't need a pattern other than that of the yarn. Nice work!
