I don't think I have enough scraps

I found exactly what I needed to distract myself with today -- Quiltville! The link I originally followed was to the Leaders and Enders article, and then I wandered from there to the Scrap User's System.

I didn't even get to look at the free patterns on the sidebar, but I don't think I have enough scraps to make all of the quilts I fell in love with on that site!

Michelle,
I followed you here from your Quiltville post. Reading this one, when you first came upon Bonnie's site, takes me back to just a bit more than a full year ago! I was out surfing the net for patterns, and Bonnie's site was brought up on google. The rest REALLY is history! I have been a 100% committed (dedication AND 'mentally committed) ever since! Somehow I must not have known too much about Scrappy quilts, but now.....I ADORE THEM! I needed to make a "traditional" quilt for a dear friend's 60th birthday, but it wasn't all that bad. There was a new technique involved with it, so it kept me "non-bored". If you have a copy of he latest Quiltmaker edition (Jan/Feb '09), the picture is shown in the "Sew to speak" section. This edition also have an article of Bonnie's are the Scrap User system as well as a pattern of hers.

Anyway---thanks for taking me back to the first time I "met Bonnie" too. I hope you enjoy her site and the Quiltville Group as much as I have.

Finally, we have at least a couple things in common. We both have children 2, 4, 8 (no 11 yo for me), and have to use late evenings to get some quilting done :0) Actually, my 2 yo turns 3 next Monday.

I'll keeps tabs on you. It's so good to find other "young" quilter's with the passion!

Happy Tuesday

Oh dear! Sorry for the typos! Would you understand if I said I was "under the weather" today? But really...I don't like making mistakes---part of the perfectionist in me?

However, I'm getting better at "letting go."
